A Full Day:Sunlight, Self-Love, and Something Fresh

It’s that time of the month again—robes are fluffier, mornings slower, and we’re diving back into the soft life. Welcome back, loves, to another dreamy Soft Day with me, Vanessa. Let’s indulge in a little luxury, a little leisure, and lots of love. Shall we?

Morning: Meditation & Skincare Magic

I woke up gently, sunlight slipping through sheer curtains. Today began differently—with a guided meditation session right from bed, headphones on, breathing easy. After that calming start, I took a warm, refreshing shower then moved to my skincare corner, where I did a gentle cleanse, hydrating essence, hyaluronic serum, and a cooling sheet mask that made me feel fresh and ready for the day.

Breakfast & Balcony Vibes

I headed to the kitchen to whip up a simple yet beautiful breakfast—a yogurt bowl topped generously with crunchy granola, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and a drizzle of golden honey. I carried my colorful creation out onto the balcony, settling into my favorite chair with the gentle morning breeze against my skin and lo-fi beats softly playing in the background. The peacefulness was pure serenity.

Afternoon: Cooking Class

Later in the afternoon, I attended a cooking class at a cozy, chic culinary studio. On today’s menu? Handmade pasta with fresh basil pesto. I kneaded dough, rolled pasta sheets, and blended aromatic basil with garlic, pine nuts, and olive oil. The rhythm of cooking felt therapeutic, playful, and surprisingly intimate. I felt connected, creative, and completely present, savoring every step.

Solo Picnic at the Park

Afterward, I carefully packed my fresh pasta creation, grabbed my journal, and walked to my favorite park. Spreading out a soft, pastel blanket, I relaxed on the grass beneath the shade of a large tree, enjoying the pasta slowly and savoring the flavors. I journaled a little, jotting down reflections and moments of gratitude, soaking up the warmth of the sunshine and the calming presence of nature.

Evening Floral Workshop

As golden hour settled in, I made my way to a quaint local shop called Beneva Flowers in Sarasota. I had signed up in advance for one of their seasonal Pinot & Petals workshops, which ran from 6 to 8 p.m.—the perfect way to unwind into the evening. Surrounded by roses, eucalyptus, and calming lavender, I crafted my own bouquet, carefully selecting each stem and adjusting the colors until the arrangement felt just right. It was soothing, playful, and exactly the kind of soft luxury this day was all about.

Evening Wind-Down

Back home, I took a long, hot shower—the kind that rinses off more than just the day. Then I lit a Jo Malone candle (English Pear & Freesia) I’d picked up earlier this week on my way home from the bookstore, instantly filling the room with a comforting fragrance. I ran a warm bath sprinkled generously with rose petals and a few drops of luxurious bath oils. Soft music played gently in the background, and the warmth relaxed every muscle in my body. After the bath, wrapped in a silky robe, I applied my nighttime skincare routine and curled up on the couch with a warm cup of chamomile tea and a feel-good movie.

Bedtime Reflection

When I finally crawled into bed, it was with a deep sense of gratitude and joy. Today wasn’t just self-care—it was self-love, creativity, and mindfulness. It was exactly what my mind, body, and soul needed.
